Simple bites for the outside.
There’s something special about food that travels with you. These are the snacks and little trail meals that keep me going - easy to make, even better to eat outside, and always a small joy to look forward to along the way.
Slow Mornings.
For the quiet starts - when the air still feels soft and the world hasn’t fully woken up.
-
Fresh, bright, and a little earthy - made with carrots, apples, oranges, lemon, and ginger. I make it early, pour it into a jar, and sip it slow before heading out. It’s light, energizing, and exactly what I crave before the day begins.
-
A simple, packable breakfast that feels like comfort in a jar. I mix oats, cinnamon, apple, and maple syrup the night before - easy, cozy, and ready to grab before sunrise.
-
There’s something about tearing into fresh bread by a lake that just hits different. I love bringing a small piece of homemade focaccia - salty, chewy, and perfect for slow starts.
Midday Pause.
When the sun’s high and I finally get to breath
-
Fresh slices of apple or orange with something salty on the side - my version of trail balance.
-
Layered with whatever vegetables I have on hand - light, refreshing, and easy to eat by the water.
Something Sweet.
Small bites that carry me through long days outside - simple, a little sweet, and always satisfying.

For the days when the air feels sharp and I crave something warm.
